the "fake news" aspect of this will be the headlines targeting the diet itself (vegan ABC-free) rather than what actually happened which is a baby starved to death from lack of calories because of some obviously disturbed parents.

The parents have major issues to watch their child starve to death knowing (by the weight and size) that obviously their way was failing and the child was suffering. I doubt prison would do much for them as they probably need some sort of facility for mental illness.
