I have a fish tank in my apt and really enjoy it. Aside from a simple to care for pet (or school of pets) that dont bug you constantly, you can change the plants and other decorations whenever you get bored with them. I put a pretty cool steam punk water wheel that spins with bubbles in there atm.

Honestly I am looking aswell. But I could never get a rat, my girlfriend would never return. Also most small animals may not be touched. So are sugar gliders, besides being very expensive in keeping, they also take up a lot of space.

I looked into getting a chameleon, and these are also not to be touched, and aren't very easy to keep.

I also find fish fairly boring, so that's no option either.

I need a pet that I can interact with. I would instantly buy a dog, but since I will be done with my bachelor's halfway through next year, so I can't plan around having a dog, that will have to wait.

One I found interesting was the bearded dragon, I will look further into that one!

#1 Bearded Dragon

12 hours light of uvb light followed by 12 hours red heat lamp

90-95 degrees temps

Feed them dubia roachs, crickets, wax worms for protein and raw cucumber and romain lettuce for water also some strawberry once a week for snack

Lightly powder food with calcium powder

As baby they need 80% insect 20% veggie
As they get older it gets to like 20% insect 80% veggie

They're really cool pets to have

Be sure to let them sit in warm water to bath to keep em happy, try your bathroom sink and put the plug in for bath area
