Playing my BV pathfinder, wondering what the pro's and con's are of using Shavs for LL build vs. using CI on the tree for straight ES build?

To me seems that straight ES build with a good ES chest gives alot more ES in the end, but does that come at a loss of DPS?

Thoughts?

shav=run extra aura on blood magic and the more spell damage when low life passive.

CI=more energy shield or use beast fur shawl for more damage and aoe.

overall, shav lowlife is stronger because of extra aura

started ll bv but switched to ci get about 2k es and immune to chaos
depends on your gear really i didnt see any need for more dps

Yea I am finding I do fine DPS, but I need more ES (I still have some upgrading to do) but
in the end feel like CI might be better for the little extra ES for more defense

CI best u need huge ES pool

BV is already insane

This and as someone said immune to chaos will make your life easier unless you have the gear

ya killing boss 1-2 second faster isnt really worth it unless u planning to farm shaper/uber atziri
im going for 100 so the 2k+ es is better imo havnt been close to dying but just incase something can 1 shot me

With good enough gear, low life becomes better since more dmg=more leech=more survivability (and faster kills mean less hits taken as well)

For most people CI is better tho imho

Remember the time you only went CI when you had massive gear, otherwise you go life / es combo.

I go CI as well, I apply curses through a separate BV - Curse on Hit - Warlords Mark - Enfeeble

if hes playing bv u insta leech everything back if hes got phy conv vinktars/atziri only way to die is getting 1 shot
