There's actually some wisdom in that lyric... because all atheists feel that way.

Ofcourse there's some wisdom in these lyrics, Jesus voluntarily died on the cross, and he was the Savior, what sort of self-respecting Savior would voluntarily die? He said nothing in his defense when prompted by Pontius, it was just to make things more official I'd say, to spread the power of his religion. In reality, who would rather believe in a dying god than a life affirming one? In Nietzsche's words. Satan promised Jesus everything, when he teleported him on top of the Temple, if only Jesus kneel to him. Satan is more life affirming than Jesus, let's all believe in Satan instead.

Atheists are just 14-20 year olds that haven't discovered the true power of religion yet, moreso have not turned to Satan yet. If an atheist be older than 21 years old he is simply ignorant of the purpose of religion.

I was more speaking about the problem of suffering, which is why many people refuse to believe.

Yeah... people who worship power on earth have a hard time understanding why Jesus praises the meek, the gentle, the pure, the persecuted.
