Donald Trump is graded on a ridiculous curve. The media's obsessive coverage of Trump is what helped him pull off the upset in the GOP primaries. It's estimated that Trump has received close to $3 billion dollars in free advertising from the media, so he really has no right to complain about them.

In fact, he isn't simply trying to criticize them, he is actually trying his best to smear and subdue the media like many other authoritarian leaders in history have. It's deeply disturbing, and the irony is only compounded by the fact that he should actually be thanking the media for keeping him in a race that he really has no place being a part of in the first place.
