gotta tank i guess. but if tanking rules change, then ITS OVER FOR US. DOOMED
tanking rule already changed and will take place 2018-2019 season
i understand tanking fully...
the theory for the bulls was to get a young star to center the team around and build for the future.. while the first few seasons they will suck and tank to get draft picks.
but if you gave away your biggest trading piece for a player who is just coming off an injury that could impact the rest of his career... lets just say he ends up being perfectly fine and a BEAST even, he is a restricted free agent next year meaning the bulls could match any amount someone offers him, but what if a dirt poor team decides to liquidate and have all this money to buy a super star that the bulls cant match, he walks!!
or different scenario.. they desperatly want to keep lavine, they have to sell out their young players contracts that theyve been working so hard to develop and the whole reason for tanking, to buy lavine out, and their back to the beginning of 2016-17, with a star lavine, and no one around him...
