Trump's campaign accepted 1,100 "problematic" (the best word for it at this stage) donations. Many are from people who maxed out and who donated over the individual limit anyway, which happens all the time, but others are a little more serious.

When I originally saw the headlines I was hoping the FEC was finally cracking down on him for the many FEC violations he rung up during the campaign, like repeatedly soliciting donations from foreign nationals or price gouging at Trump Tower or being sloppy with his book purchases, but this is a start if nothing else. With Trump in line to be president, I have a feeling there will be plenty of time to account for his many illegalities. Unfortunately in the FEC's case they won't be able to do much about it.
