Had an interesting thought, if you live long enough then maybe you'd start forgetting earlier memories as you kept experiencing new things, then at some point each section of life would be separate from another with regards to the memories you hold and you might as well just live one of them. But i guess knowledge is accumulated as you keep using base principled to expand on them. This probably happens anyway to normal people to some extent but as you and the world around you are changing rapidly it mitigates the effect.

I hate citing an anime but in Naruto the char Orochimaru becomes obsessed with learning, he realises to learn everything he wants to know he would have to live a lot longer than a normal human life. This is partially my reasoning. There is a lot I want to know and explore 1 lifetime is not enough
