Did you put lots of money on her when her odds went way down? Most people who can beat the best experts would do so.

Don't have the money to do so, or I would have :(

I disagree. If Trump didn't flub during the debate, he'd be in decent shape. Turnout is going to dictate the election and there are very real scenarios that could push the election towards Trump.

Play around with this:

Trump was never even close to the favorite to win. Trump is an amateur compared to Hillary. It was barely a factor honestly.

She was just as much of a favorite when some were shortchanging her 3 weeks ago; very little has changed in this race since May. There's a whole lot of things I wish 99% of Americans understood better about how campaigns work but one of the most important things is how campaigns do and do not change over time. Over the last three weeks you're seeing a prime example of how a campaign does not change over time, no matter how many public polls might be able to be arranged *just so* in order to support that premise, and no matter how badly the political press wants a horse race.

Trump's odds of victory didn't magically shoot up simply because the press was able to create a new "this is going to be a real problem for Clinton!" controversy out of thin air. They'll always have at least one of these faux-problems for Clinton tied into the coverage because concern trolling in furthering the horse race dynamic is such a huge part of their aim. If the narrative they're pitching isn't coinciding with what's actually happening on the ground and on the air, then IGNORE IT. There was literally nothing happening on the ground or even on the airwaves to back up the kind of dynamic they were trying to sell.

Brexit did not teach us anything relevant to our election really. It just taught us that the perceived underdog can win sometimes. Something we already knew.

Hillbillies are always tricked into voting against their interests by shiney objects.
