What do you guys think about marihuana?

Are you pro or against?
Would/have you ever tried?

Do you think that it makes people more stupid?

Feel free to share your thoughts and include other drugs if you want too, like alcohol, medicines, etc

Currently testing it scientifically, will report results once they are fully peer reviewed....

Good video on the risks

Generally I'm pro legalization, but it does have its risks. It's at least far safer than tobacco and alcohol.

Yup, there are a few studies saying that odds of suffering a psychotic episode while being a every-day-smoker are 6:1 with non smokers.

And ratio of psychotic episodes with family background of psychosis it was quite higher

But as some said, not everyone has that background (from 1-6% being extremely wide) but everyone might be an addict (alcohol, tobacco)...

'Pro-legalisation case suffers a serious setback, as experimental data points to an increased risk of serious delusion and lowered intelligence in smokers'

That video is based on the whole reefer madness theory and trying to turn it into a science - I heard that theory refers to about 1% of the population and if they smoke to often to early.

Known 1000s of smokers - not one went crazy. Notice how that video gives no actual data - just a bunch of theories that might be related - its just peer reviewed garbage.

No.

It has been proved that if you start smoking when being young you, you might end up losing 6 IQ points, which is less than half of the standard deviation (Sd =15). But:

- you need to smoke a lot
- you need to smoke everyday
- you have to smoke for years
- you have to start before 16-18 years.

Even if so happens, I dont really care about 6 IQ points, since society won those 6 points in the past century.

The bad thing that we all should be aware of is that it has severe changes in emotions when intoxicated. Long term memory issues for those who smoke everyday, as far as they never are fully clean because the biological half-life of weed oscilates from 2 days to a few weeks if you dont stop smoking

Scoring high in negative affection domination might save you from negative symptoms
