If you're trying something new, actually starting it on a deload week might be smart just b/c if you go full load with a new technique, it's usually not pretty.
gz on the deadlift work (from other topic): I too struggle with hook grip. Always have. I've known some people who are big on hook grip and they are the manliest of men.
If you talk to Burns he may have some good info on grippers to augment grip over time. If I'm not mistaken he had some crazy grip strength back in the day.
e: also gz on OHP. I have trouble with OHP due to an injury history with a couple of ribs but I wish more people did OHP. Underrated as fk.
