tbh it's a fairly old head unit so there is the possibility the display has failed.

alpine has a double safety, so you cant just ground the wire anymore, I'll link you a video to do it with switches manually (every time you get in the car) or you can wire some relays to it, ill try and link the

do you have 2 wires? a yellow/blue and a yellow/black?

If you have the yellow/black and yellow/blue wires use this video for manual bypass (every time you get into yiur car)
