The menus are not popping up. I google'd it and it said something about a brake bypass module?

150fg for an answer that can lead to a fix.

assuming you mean in dash dvd you'll just have to google how to bypass it which might be illegal in your location. not like anyone is ever going to check it though.

also to explain why it does this: it's a safety feature to keep you from distracting yourself with a dvd while you drive. without the parking brake on this feature won't let the dvd function work.

gonna have to pull the deck and do a small bit of rewiring.

you cut the wire that run to the parking brake and re-attach it to the head units ground wire.

as for which wires are which i can't help you there. your head unit might have a wiring guide on the metal case otherwise you'll have to look up your specific model to find out what wires are what.

Why would I do that? Is it the parking break preventing the features?

or is this a brand new install you did yourself?

Everything is good. Audio works, just the other features don't. And I did it myself like I always do, no problems like this in the past.
