^Lets be fair to Subwoofer, alchemists also spent a lot of their time trying to make the elixir of immortality, so we have that to thank them for...

As for numerology:

I don't think people should get excited about seeing 11:11 or whatever's significant for them, but I think it's something more people should consider. If there was something going on beyond our understanding that could affect this reality I always thought one of the ways it could happen subtly would be minor changes in randomness and/or our thought patterns/consciousness. One of easiest way to detect this would be though numbers with their simplicity/linearity.

you said it was a "dumb concept".

that simply doesn't apply to the field. it required the same intelligence and curiosity that it takes for a modern scientist except in an age with far less technology to prop itself up on.

hell we are missing so much data about the field and much of what we do have was written in codes and riddles so idk why you pretend to be so educated on the subject you can dismiss it entirely like a superstition.

Are you suggesting we return to the practice of alchemy? No? Then you agree with me, thanks.

When you get so hysterical, it really does affect your reading comprehension.

can't return to practicing something that we don't even know much about. too much of it was lost to history and lots of what survived is encrypted.

this is response 4 and you've yet to do any sort of research on the subject at hand.

oh yes totally hysterical....seriously this isn't general chat no one here is impressed with the whole "you butthurt bro?!" dialogue you keep pitching.

i look forward to post number 5 where you make another useless comment and try to make yourself feel better about your ignorance by resorting to insults.

or you know...blow my mind and actually do 10 mins of google research and learn to appreciate those before us who devoted their lives to understanding the universe and ourselves.

yeah but using nuclear process which alchemist didn't know about. alchemist were primitive chemist rather than primitive nuclear and particle physicist.

it doesn't really change the fact that they believed it could be done through chemical means which as far as we know never ever worked or could of possibly worked.

being wrong about such things isn't the legacy of alchemist. their legacy lies in laboratory science and chemistry.

I refuse to believe in anything that attaches a supernatural meaning to something that was created by humans.

Numbers were created by humans. The reason why your clock reads 11:11 is because humans agreed that they'll label time this way, they agreed on how long a second lasts, they agreed on how many seconds are within a minute, etc. The notion that 11:11 has a meaning outside of the meaning humans give it is absolutely impossible, and that's where the argument stops for me.

So no, I do not believe in numerology, and I think that your personal belief in it stems entirely from confirmation bias.

^it's not impossible at all
maybe it's the machine elves turning the numbers when your not looking, that's what the 11.11 people think
not likely but hardly impossible, the only thing you can be certain of is that you're conscious, this should be common knowledge
