I've been thinking the same. Seems like a pretty major plot hole. Unless the robots from then were next to perfection and nothing much has needed changing in 30 years... that just doesn't seem plausible though.

I felt like it was more or less done for the sake of the story. Would have made it pretty obvious the man in black was william if the bots from young williams timeline were noticeably worse than current ones.

Something has been bugging me...how come all of the robots from Williams time which was 30 years ago were so advanced? In fact they were as advanced as robots from current time

Wat

The robots in Williams past were mechanical under the skin etc. Robots in the present have realistic insides etc. The outsides are similar but they definitely showed how much they advanced and even talked about it a few times.

Yeah there was one scene where her guts were more mechanical but didn't that happen till right at the end of the season?

Also when Ford was talking to one of the first robots it was obvious how dumb he was, behaved and moved compare to current time robots

I understand what you're getting at but I don't really think it's a plot hole.

The robot Ford was talking to was from the very beginning. If I remember correctly Williams past scenes were when it was already opened for a few years and I'd imagine they were upgrading them as they went along.

Also, do you guys think Hopkins wins an emmy for this show?

I think he has to. His character was so perfectly executed. I seriously think it might be one of the greatest performances I've ever seen. He is an absolute legend amongst men.

If Westworld doesnt sweep the Emmys, its more rigged than the Oscars.

Vouch. Best season of television since True Detective season 1 and the second best single season in television history imo
