I recently started studying environmental science

so I was thinking about ordering some magazines to get some information on recent research and getting used to the way of writing and reading research papers/articles

Sonething a bit more "scientific" than lets say nat geo but hopefully not just straight up research papers either (rather tedious to read imho)

A magazine with compact peer reviewed articles that give you the important parts (but still more than just summarys :D )

Any good suggestions?

if you want something less scientific, you can look into some ACS magazines, some may feature environmental studies such as Chemical and Engineering News.

I can attest to Chemical and Engineering News being good for what you're wanting.

Except they have a video on youtube, so useless non peer reviewed garbage.

Nature and science both have very broad range of articles in them. I'd rather read something thats more specific to environmental science

National Geographic - plus they have had that magazine for over 100 years - so its more reading that you have time for

Don't read the kids version? Why do you need to obfuscate reality? If that's your goal, maybe you should become an astro priest for Nasa.

Here's some nice starter points:

The Psychopaths’ effective rhetorical strategies.

1. Glibness and Charm
2. Analogies and Metaphors.
3. Slander.
4. Circumlocution.
5. Evasion.
6. Pointing Fingers at Others
7. Fabrication of Details.
8. Playing upon your Emotions.
