Trump was such a bad student at his charter school, they didn't want him and his father had to take him out of it and enroll him in military school.

The existence of charter schools is a huge problem for the public education system. They need to be eliminated and the resources put into public education.

Yeah! Reinforce the unaccountable, failing government system so it can continue its primary role of supporting the Democrat war machine!

Ok

Anyway,
Quote (David Simon)
End any policy imperative that demands teaching to test. Combine a real reform initiative to address the worst protectionism of teacher's unions while allowing collective bargaining to secure the legitimate standing of teachers. And end charter schools with a recommitment to public education for all in America. It's not fair to ask parents in charters to risk the moderate gains made unless real reform is undertaken in public education. But right now charter schools are effectively lifeboats, and the American educational as a whole is a sinking ship. This is not a wholistic solution that anything, and it is, in the long-run, an abandonment of the idea that America gives every child the opportunity of a viable education.

it's not really equality of opportunity if some children get a better mandatory education than others, based on the chance of them being allocated a place in a charter school from a lottery.

they compete with public schools and much like private schools they impose a significant cream skimming effect that tends to attract the brightest students. it's been proven that classes with more intelligent students lift up their peers academically, which is one of the reasons public schools tend to do so badly. they get robbed of their best students.

theoretically, every school being private with a voucher covering the full cost of education given to each student is the most efficient education system as it totally negates the cream skimming effect. it's unrealistic though

WTF kind of delusional world do you live in?

If a parent is engaged enough to want thier child to go to a charter school, they probably put in more effort than the bulk of the people who send thier kids to public schools.

Taking out the "smart" kids from public schools doesn't make the curriculum and better or worse.

Realistically, having "smart" kids around isn't going to make the children of less engaged parents who send thier kids to public schools with uninterested teachers who provide an education of inferior value any smarter.

I'm legit starting to think you are crazy indoctrinated or just trolling me at this point because no one could be that dense to miss the entire point of schooling.

Also, I have a question for you.

If you got good grades in one class in college, did the "bad" students in that same class get a better grade because of your effort?

Well most charter schools are doing very badly. A few are doing okay...they are the exceptions though.

Meanwhile public school quality has been increasing overall.

If people vote Democrat education will continue to improve.
