So I went looking in to console systems for the first time in quite a few years. Was searching for a more competitive scene.
Noticed that Wii-U, PS4 and XBOX ONE are just not producing many games within their generation. The games they are producing are weak compared to that of previous generations.
So I go looking in to other PC games. You have dota3 and league, aside from cult classics which have survived such as StarCraft.
Needless to say, I was disappointed because I don't like dota3 and I don't particularly like league.
Newer games being released are temporary dumpster fires that I could care less about, designed to have absolutely no longevity so that players get bored quickly and buy new games.
The biggest problem with this, is that as a gamer looking for a competitive scene to invest in, you want something that is going to have some significant life span.
Then it occurred to me... That Guild Wars 2 in light of the shitty games surrounding it and despite it's 100% completely incompetent balance team, was somehow one of the best competitive option to invest in.
Is there something I'm missing here boys?
Are there no other games with better balance, a better dynamic engine and signs that show longevity?
