Hi guys, I am godfather of a friend's son that is doing his confirmation of faith next month, and I have to offer him a chain with a huguenot cross. I don't wear one, but most people where I live are using this type of chain (which I believe to be call cut cable chain in english) :
What I wonder is what is the usual length of the chain for a religious pendant, and for that type of chain, what is the usually the thickness of the links for a young man (in order for the chain not to look too thick/noticable but also not to be too thin/girly)? For example this is a picture of exactly what I would like to buy:
