as with almost everything in this game the concept of diminishing returns is the answer

almost impossible to hit exactly 100% due to diminishing returns and how its calculated in the d3 system.

at best you could prolly hit somewhere into the 90s if you stacked every possible dam reduc item n skills from a full party... most likely a monk can achieve the highest dam reduc due to him/her having prolly the most dam reduc support items in game)

(IP, sanc, desert shroud epiphany, cyclone strike shoulders, spirit guard, endless walk, 7side strike belt using lion claw for 14 strikes, and aquillas)

but stack all crap above n it messes wit your dps build in the party cause 1, uliana sucks ass lol, so takin out the belt and lion claw is some dam reduc, and aquilas doesnt fit in the 4 man gen monk dps meta, and the group dps spec usually doesnt hse cyclone strike shoulders anymore in exchange for even more dps boost... but ya the above items and skills would prolly net you close to 90% dam reduc after all those diminishing returns... but no point in having that amount if you cant even kill anythin for the party since 2 of the party members do zero dps to begin with...

but just a fyi. in a gr 90 and above... even using epiphany+ ip+sanc+ spirit guards n endlesswalk, your dps monk is still helllla squishy in combat. Arcane lasers is ass rape lol.

rofl no. dmg reduction is multiplicative and not additive btw.
50% dmg reduction will always be 50% dmg reduction.

for example you have 1000life and receive a 1000dmg hit so you would survive only 1 hit. with 50% dmg reduction that would be a 500dmg hit and you could survive 2 hits, your survivability went up by 100%.
with another 50% dmg reduction the 500dmg hit would be 250dmg and you would survive 4hits, the survivability went up by another 100%.

I mean the game is so fucking retarded and casual and yet people are still to dumb to grasp such basic concepts.
And people wonder why everyone trolls/shits in this subboard...

ancient parthan > 100% reduction pretty easy but only for very limited times as so much mobs wont be there forever :)
