What they get for sleeping with the enemy. Fox embraces ideology that advocates restricting women's rights and preventing their social advancement. They don't deserve to be sexually harassed at work but they're famously hired to look pretty and pretend Hannity isn't a repulsive pile of shit which tbh is very impressive acting. It is like a black dude volunteering for the David Duke campaign or interning at Breitbart then "breaking the silence" of being exposed to racist behavior. No shit, you joined their team, stupid.
Many folks identify as a Republican or a Conservative simply because they are Christian. A lot of these other issues on race, gender, and economics don't matter as much because the most important thing is agreeing with the religious component.
Take IceMage, for instance. Our man is taking on increasingly liberal or at the very least moderate positions on a myriad of issues, but for the longest while he was a Conservative Republican. Religion plays a big part in people's politics, and we should never forget that.
That's not to say that Democrats don't have their reliable voting blocs, either. They do. I'm just pointing out that we shouldn't be surprised when Christians identify as mostly Republicans, even if they are fighting for the "wrong team" or whatever.
I don't necessarily blame them, either. Religion (at least one like Christianity) probably should play an enormous role in your life, including political ideology. It probably should be the #1 issue, and that's why a lot of people use it as their starting point and then go from there.
