Just be aware that an atheist Marxist linked you first to a Christian philosopher.

How is being a nihilist not coherent?

I'd argue that moral nihilism follows on from being an atheist. Without a supreme being, there's no objective right or wrong. Our moral codes and values were just passed down for thousands of years as a way to help us survive and prosper.

But that doesn't make those morals right. It's just good to have them around for our mutual benefit.

What is the point that you are trying to convey?

we could all die here and earth would still orbit the sun and the sun would still survive until it's death

I do not see why this would mean that our lives don't matter. What is it out of these facts that make it so that our lives don't matter?

Ummm, the fact that if we all died in the grand scheme of things nothing would change. For something to matter it has to be important to the function of everything. Hence how certain organs do not matter and you can live without them yet some do. The universe would survive if every human life disappeared.

Things would change in the "grand scheme", because the "grand scheme" consists of everything, including humans.

Why is it that for some thing to matter it would have to be important for the function of everything? I fail to see the connection here.

Our atoms would still exist, atoms matter hence they are matter.

Why would there be no right or wrong without a supreme being?

If there is something that is good all-around, then would it not be right?
