Ah, I get what you are saying. That’s not a could tho, Notley is done, zero percent chance of reelection.
Trudeau is far from certain. all legalizing weed does is make sure those who voted for him solely for that last election have no reason to vote this time round.
And standing up to drumpf on trade isn’t enough to overcome his fiasco’s like India and the pipeline. he’s gotta come out ahead and make progress on NAFTA etc. Which ofc he can’t do while standing up to trump , we lose any way you look at a trade war with US.
I don't see it, Trudeau has the full support of the country because of Trump these days. Trump likely have handed him a victory. Kenney, Ford, all these far right types tweeted out support for the PM. I'm sure their supporters noticed, and nobody's complaining. The pipeline 'fiasco', that's an interesting way to put it. I don't see that as being a) his fault, and
it will only hurt him in BC. And as someone who's not typically a pro-pipeline guy, I don't see the fiasco really. The India 'scandal' is such a stupid minor story, it's already been forgotten about. I voted for him last time, but I won't again because he shit the bed on electoral reform. But who is he running against really? People want to talk about 'meek', Scheer is the definition of that. He's like the Conservative version of Stephan Dion. I do like the NDP leader, but he has no hope of winning. It leaves the incumbent - and he's a rock star on the international stage, whatever that's worth, with a higher approval rating in the US than their president. I think another majority Liberal win is very likely.
Notely... I think there's a chance. I think she deserves a win, she's been our first respectable Premier in about 20 years. Kenney would be a worse choice than Ford, and I hope Albertans are smart enough to see he has no substance or integrity, and panders to whatever the religious right want him to say and do. He still wants to out gay kids to their parents, he left the room on the recent abortion vote, and he thinks ad-hominem attacks is how to work with the PM.
