yes they do. handball is a completely normal sport here and i don't know where you saw people "dancing around", handball is actually a pretty rough sport...
meanwhile stickball and handegg are just completely ridiculous and weird. handegg, the americanised version of rugby, with its fat fucks in plastic armours who need a break every 30 seconds might be somewhat "understandable" but stickball? believe me, it's at least as weird as handball is to you...

I think handball looks really interesting. Its really hard to follow not knowing any of the rules.
I think I'da loved it had I grown up around it.

handball is a big deal in: germany, france, spain, sweden, denmark, norway, russia, poland, croatia, slovenia, hungary, brazil, argentina, south korea, egypt, tunisia... and many more countries

handegg is a big deal in: usa

i think it's safe to say handball is "more normal", absolutely... don't you feel incredibly ignorant assuming it isn't just because YOU don't know it?!
i mean it's not even a big deal that you don't know it, you grew up in a culture that doesn't so it's understandable - but claiming it's more obscure than a sport you know well, just based on your complete lack of knowledge is somewhat cringeworthy imo...

why don't you enlighten me then? in how many countries is handegg a big deal? bigger than handball?

And yet American football is hundreds of times more popular and has hundreds of times more revenue in one country than handball in every country combined.

Probably thousands of times actually but handball is too obscure to find any numbers.
