Most important thing to understand in golf is stability. Use your upper body in the back swing, and use the ground to turn in the back swing. Keep your spine straight
Na I used to do that
"Keep your spine straight" by keeping your back slightly flexed
Over time you'll endure back injuries / back spasms
What may work for me may not work for you
If you're in an althetic setup (stance & posture) at address, you're already using the ground...
At this stage in my swing, I focus more on having the right grip and using more of my lead arm
The downswing for me is the easiest as long as my hips aren't firing way in front of my body
Your hands is the connection to the club that makes contact with the ball
What's your "takeaway" (what starts the backswing for you)?
Turn of the shoulders?
Straightening out the back leg?
Use of hands?
