What's the community like these days? I've just jumped on and made a new character, there doesn't seem to be much activity anymore with the game having last been updated in 2014. Is it worth coming back or has everyone moved on?

I don't know what it used to be like, but right now there's not that many active. There's probably about a dozen regular, dedicated players and another 10-15 casual players.

If you enjoyed the game, playing casually on your own and earning prof, then the game is worth starting back up. If your here for the community, not so much.

sitting on a well is an option, explore is another, whistle is also okay, depends what you want to do. Questing? kill evil presence? or just level with easy mobs

Try to explore if you can and go back to well when necessary, most drops are found from exploring black or welling items

To answer your question. No it doesn't worth it.

Here's why :

Price droped alot BUT nobody is gonna sell cheap because nobody want to lose their investments.

There is nothing good on the market

The community is small and yet, full of hate. There are more gangs here than in the ghettos of Chicago

People won't play with you unless you have GG gear (and like I said, GG gear are either opriced with the current market or people wont sell)

Most of the people have aready their schedule to play with the same exact people.

Solo is hard and long. But possible

Drop are bad

Paul let the game dies slowly



These are the main reasons why I wouldn't suggest to play this game. But it is not impossible to start. There are still a few people that play with new people. But they are as rare as the good drops.

I have to say I haven't experienced this. But I agree with the rest of what you said.

prices dropped but good items are still worth a lot. if you want good stuff you have to pay for it
if you pay decently, you will find items to buy. thats no problem.
the community is small but if you are a well educated and friendly person you wont have any problem with the people here.
if you put in some effort to play and try to upgrade your gear you will easily find some people to play with.
solo takes longer than group climbs but you can do a solo climb on a different char and then just jump into a group once it is there (easy to see with the group tool (f))
the drop quantity has been improved a lot. the quality isnt too great but if you do wells and explore to kill eps you will find items sooner or later.
there have been a few updates lately (check update 1.30 and scroll down.. there you will see several changes to the game in the last months), so the game producer is still putting some effort in it. (there are also alot of events that provide different boni in the game)

if you want to play a pretty addicting but relaxing game it is always worth a shot.
