Think it will happen?

I would love to see this, as it sets a nice tone for the future of console gaming.

The article states they could have it enabled in less than a day if Sony gives the go-ahead.

Nope. PlayStation has the bigger Rocket League player base. So they won't gain anything from doing cross-ply besides good will and I don't think they are interested in good will gestures.

Well we can already play with pc players on xbox, I don't see how it would be a bad thing for Sony to improve their fan morale, but then again...

And the numbers are close, ps4 is ahead but pc and xbox are catching up. It was released first on ps4 and pc, 6 months ahead of xbox one, so that supports the higher number.
