If you, lets say post in a off-topic forum, and someone tags your name/quote your message, you will get a notification on instant messenger.

As for now, I think it only gives sound if they post in your topic.
Would be cool if we could implement a notification for when you get tagged/quoted in someone elses topic.

There is a notification feature right here if someone quote you but not tag your nickname ( the tag won't gonna happen I think )

As for implement it on the IM, why not? should be simple enough to do it.
