See, I never got this impression with dressings. A good dressing is a huge part of the salad.. Most greens have little/no flavor, they're their more for texture and substance. Than you have the other stuff, like the carrots, onions, croutons etc that incorporate more of the flavor to the salad, but the dressing is very important.

A little red wine vinegar/raspberry balsamic and olive oil goes a long way too.


When I think of a sallad I picture more vegetables than just greens :P not that I agree that greens lack flavor when you have ruccola, green bell peppers, cucumbers etc.

Of course it also depends what's in the sallad, some of them definitely need a dressing or something, but a good one doesn't, imo
