you can't "include" fana in the required ias
what fana gives and what, say, HL gives are different things.

Not 'including' Fanaticism because it is skill increased attack speed and each amount of attack speed listed is used in the calculation to modify the breakpoint, you can read more about that here: http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=5458178

To make it as clear as possible, because lots of people make this mistake, without Fanaticism you need 65 IAS on a Phase Blade [-30]

With level 1 Fanaticism you need 37 IAS
With level 2 Fanaticism you need 30 IAS
With level 3 Fanaticism you need 27 IAS
With level 4 Fanaticism you need 23 IAS
With level 5 Fanaticism you need 20 IAS
With level 6 Fanaticism you need 19 IAS
With level 7 Fanaticism you need 18 IAS
With level 8 Fanaticism you need 16 IAS
With level 9 Fanaticism you need 15 IAS
With level 10 Fanaticism you need 14 IAS

The above list should help show how it modifies the attack speed breakpoints. Basically, on your Paladin, using Smite with a Phase Blade [-30] and no Fanaticism is the same as using Smite with a Short Sword [0] and level 10 Fanaticism (30 SIAS)
