I'll post mine in a bit but I just listened to the new JAmes Blake album and it was fucking awful, lol, one of the worst albums I've heard in a good while.

So far this year has been quite disappointing for me

some "highlights":

Pedro Soler, Gaspar Claus - Al Viento (classical)
Mark Pritchard - Under The Sun (electronic)
Charles Bradley - Changes (soul)
The Field - The Follower (techno)
Esperanza Spalding - Emily's D+ Evolution (pop)
HAELOS - Full Circle (pop/trip-hop)

Motor City Drum Ensemble - Selectors (house/funk, compilation)
Moodymann - DJ Kicks (all genres, mixtape)

I actually kinda enjoyed the new James Blake, guilty pleasure :D

Hyped for the new Jizue album!

@BebebBurns
will give these two a listen for sure!

You liked the new James Blake album? Oh man was that one awful, but good to see someone got something out of it.

Excited for some new stuff I downloaded recently, like the new Avalanches, but I agree as far as this year being disappointing so far.

I also forgot this thread and never came back lol.

No RYM sadly, I might still have an account but never bothered with rating all my stuff heh. Thats some strict ratings you got there!

some new additions:

Jizue - Story
came out at last and it's solid
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9JuET3BSbE

Niechec - Niechec
some nice jazzy post rock
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1L8ZoasYCk

Méta Méta - MM3
i'm a sucker for (almost) anything brazilian (last years Elza Soares album for example <3)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qP7DZcjPfns

Ray LaMontagne - Ouroboros
Singer/Songwriter with dad rock riffs, kinda like it

Honestly take my ratings with a grain of salt, most of them I gave one or two listens (usually just one) and rated it almost immediately, so I've had albums that I initially rated low and came back to and really enjoyed but never amended my ratings, and vice versa. I tend to put almost everything in the 3.5-4.0 range, probably because I deliberately seek out stuff I'm more inclined to like and I usually find something to enjoy in most albums I hear.

Anyway, just listened to the new Avalanches and enjoyed it well enough, chill album with some weird shit going on throughout, will probably come back to it.

EDIT -- Got dayum your rating system is harsh.
