Seems like they defended Curry well enough in the series, and Kyrie is also an elite playmaker. I'm not saying that I think one is better than the other, but for the Cavs... Kyrie is better. LeBron obviously isn't the best jump shooter, so having a guy like Irving who helps spread the floor and can knock down a 3 is vital.

Kid is an elite scorer I'll give you that. He's an average at best defender too.

I think most teams do that to begin with, but Curry is usually good enough to get away with a little help from his (moving) screens

In terms of overall playmaking, we can't correctly make that judgement call because he isn't asked to do that. It's hard to ask Kyrie to do something that LeBron James is the best in the league at doing. But when necessary, he surely is.
