Between Corey Lewandoski saying "womp, womp" sarcastically about a child with Down Syndrome being taken away from her mother, Ann Coulter calling the children "child actors", and Laura Ingraham referring to concentration camps as "summer camps", the Conservative media is not responding to all of this backlash well.

Trump's rhetoric has been weak on the issue. This is a losing fight for the Right.

Beck has tried to profit off both sides. His part in mainstreaming conspiracy during the Obama years played a large part in our current climate today imo

I agree. Beck did a lot of harm to our current political climate. Rush Limbaugh has always been wacky but Beck helped mainstream conspiracy on Fox News every weekday night.

Another figure I place a lot of blame on is Sarah Palin. She helped lower the bar of how an American politician should act and behave. Our collective expectations of politicians' knowledge and capability was changed for the worse.

Palin was the darling of the GOP and Tea Party for too many years before they realized how unqualified she was too demand that sort of clout. But the damage was done. Now we live in a full-blown idiocracy rather than the occasional sneak-peak Palin gave us.

Blatant racism in practice is weird to watch..... it's hard to believe people can be so ignorant and hateful.

The largest news network in the US caters to this very person.
