I never said radical Islam is representative of Islam as a whole, I'm saying the religious texts of Islam are more capable of being construed as advocating the killing of innocent people.
Political views, inspired by Christian teaching, yes.
Islam doesn't have a monopoly on violence as a religion. The Bible too has an incredible amount of "violent" passages. Again, a religion is largely what people bring to it, and what they're raised in. People who are either violent, or raised in a violent culture, will then approach their religion in violent ways.
