I don't think it'll effect anything.

Guy plans on murdering a bunch of people. Knows he's probably going to prison for the rest of his life or dying in the process.

Guy is going to obey the gun laws.

It doesn't matter if he "obeys" them , the point is to reduce access. Strict gun control will lower access and in doing so raise the barrier to this kind of thing occurring.

However what you posted does explain why there are still shooting where guns are allowed, because they don't care about dieing in the process.

This is a no brainer. Tragedies are powerful mobilizers, I honestly think Trump will greatly benefit from this atrocity.

Except taking guns away from people isn't a good thing because it limits their self-defense as well. The better option, if you really wanted a sort of level of control, would be to spend the money it takes to screen people before they are allowed to buy weapons.

This will def cause another sort of discrimination in the States though, especially the south.

It's all hopeless, migrate to Canada asap.

Trump, if he's smart, which he is, will hopefully come out with a powerful, emotionally charged speech. This is pure gold to use as political capital.
