Agreed, the self defense part ended when they parted ways with the situation then defused.The run over after was vengeance, the driver was no longer in any kind of risk, and he should have called police then.

Even In the car it's hard to say, but the holdup was straight robbery by a dumb kid making a big mistake,, there was probably no real intent to hurt the driver and while legally justified to anyone who pulls a gun on you, it's morally not that black and white, do you really want to shoot someone (assuming the driver was armed)over a pair of shoes and 200 bucks and have that on ones conscious if you seriously don't feel your life was at risk. It's almost like folks are itching for an excuse to ...Reminds me of the homeowners who shoot the DVD theif in the back as they were fleeing the property
