LMAO, TIL Krugman is the greatest living economist, and not an often-wrong shitty columnist with a popularity award.

Lol I was totally casting lines there.
He is the only living economist anybody has heard of
He actually wrote my intro to macroeconomics book.
Greatest living economist would have been John Nash
But now he's dead I'd say Robert Solow is the greatest living economist as the creator of the exogenous growth model, in my opinion. Then again my judgement would be based on the application of theoretical economics that is pioneering, and while Krugman has contributed to that, there are many living economists that have done more in that regard.
Krugman is a great economist though, he gets a lot of unfair criticism and mud slinged at him from free market fundamentalists because of the acerbic wit he uses to demolish them. I remember a piece he did on libertarians once, mentioning the likes of Peter Schiff and Ron Paul. It was brutal.
