I rather send people to tattoo artist, because I m mostly doing full illustrations/time consuming/detailed pieces than sketches.
So it depends

i guess im not sure what you mean by it depends, there are not many talented tattoo artists in my state (iowa) and the one there is has an 8 month waiting list or something rediculous

Well, lets say I do full sketch/illustration for someone and he takes it to tattoo artist, the tattoo artist wont be pleased to trace exact art, because they like to do own stuff with own style.
Also I dont have knowledge and imagination how it looks on skin, because skin in various places is bent different, I belive it matters in some point for tattoo artist.
