i profited a ton of fg but i put in alotta work.

This game used to be fairly popular. Back then, there was a higher chance of getting decent items.

Fast forward to today: there are way too many items in the game for way too few people. Almost everyone who has some FG can buy gear that's way better than whatever drops from monsters.

It's extremely rare for people to get valuable drops nowadays.

I did almost 39 ranks in muting and didn't get a single item that sold for more than 200 fg (and I only had 3 that sold for that amount). That's a couple hundred or thousand hours down the drain. Fishing seems a little more interesting, because it looks like I am the only fish supply on HC and I made some profit this month, which will just be used to pay vault anyway

game is fun and pretty addicting. the drops in the game itself arent too profitable anymore.. you can just earn like 10-20 fg every climb with picking up skillables. once in a while there are drops that are worth several hundred fg (the while is mostly pretty long but there were weeks in which i found even 2 items, 100+ fg each)
the key is to explore in catacombs which most people that complain dont do mostly.
other than that the best chance to earn some fgs is to be a good trader which means that you have to know the game very well and you have to be lucky at some point.
the game will for sure need a lot investment.
if you want to play the game JUST to earn fg, there are some other games that are more profitable for sure.

People don't play this game to make fg.
