"The US is an extremely diverse society and attitudes towards LGBT people differ hugely across the country. LGBT travellers may be affected by legislation passed recently in the states of North Carolina and Mississippi. Before travelling please read our general travel advice for the LGBT community. You can find more detail on LGBT issues in the US on the website of the Human Rights Campaign."

does this constitute interference?
should north carolina and mississippi formally complain?
will uk citizens potentially affected heed those warnings?

A pathetic attempt to insert their foreign opinion into the discourse of our great country.

No one here in America takes foreign(including UN) criticism seriously.

No, they shouldn't complain. Who cares if they heed those warnings. The UK is the ultimate nanny state, I'm surprised they didn't just ban travel. This is the country that bans people from entering because of song lyrics.

What's wrong with informing travellers and making sure they research laws before they go to America in order to stay safe and legal?

If anyone has to research safety advice for traveling in America they deserve to get mugged/assaulted in a public restroom.

K. Nice to know you think that.

Funny though when I just posted in another thread about your countrymen leaving a guy unconscious to die in the middle of the road.

Sounds like I'll be doing a little research before the next time I go to Chicago. Wouldn't want to go to the area that happened in.

Messed up shit.

nothing, just wondering why the uk government focuses on lgbt issues while ignoring the more pertinent issues of crime in general - see the australian travel advisory in comparison
http://smartraveller.gov.au/countries/united_states_of_america

"The United States has more violent crime than Australia, although it rarely involves tourists. Mass shootings continue to occur in public places in the US."
