It has not been a good year for legendary musicians. I actually got to see Prince live at First Avenue in Minneapolis, once. He appeared under an assumed name. Fantastic show. Regardless of his quirks, he definitely knew how to entertain a crowd.

A true legend, one of the most underrated guitarists in the world imo. Definitely deserves to be in the same tier as Clapton, Hendrix et al.

R.I.P saw him live few years ago was phenomenal, definitely an unforgettable experience

Not that I want to start a big fight, but he's one of the few artists to stand up to the media companies and win, so were these actual quirks he had that you mention or just a general impression of him though successful programming by attempted characterizations of him through those same begrudged media companies?

If it's the latter, it's no wonder they're winning.
