now tell me how your chart is relevant :)

It's relevant because the majority of the revenue for these companies is from governments, either through insurance or directly.

and in usa, that isnt a "fascist social democracy", a way more "free market" oriented place, the price of [no generic] drugs is roughtly the double of euro countries.

what you said:
Quote
This is the problem, socialist democracies become a fascist state because they can't force the global companies to price their goods without a high profit margin, but they still have to buy them because the people demand "free" medicine.

are you sure it's the problem ? Or maybe i wrongly understand what you are trying to say... Sorry, my english is pretty bad.

in case you did not know, in countries with some form of universal healthcare the regulators negotiate the prices for prescription drugs down - the pharmaceutical companies milk the us market for extra profit to offset that :D

Europe ought to be on bender knee. They can't innovate and they can't afford the drugs Americans both make and pay for.

I always knew they were scumbags.

i guess it's some kind of irony, or a joking; for the few i know the situation is exactly the contrary of what you are saying.

- official french governement report about extrem increase of researches costs vs lower amount of new drugs created, in usa, and it was a decade ago already
- recently read a funny article about prices of various basics drugs in France vs Usa and it was seriously hilarious, basic example; the price of Saline

Time to repeal Obamacare and go with a single payer system. It's the only way to cut per capita costs while providing near universal coverage.

The pullout method only sounds reasonable if everyone involved is pretty drunk.

It’s an interesting development. They were late getting in originally and they tried to overcorrect by aggressively getting in at the start of Year 2. That made their data noisier than it already was, which was pretty damn noisy because we’re still really early in this process, and that's going to lead to a lot of providers coming and going like this.

The good news is that even though they were often one of the 3 major choices in most of the counties they were active in, this doesn’t appear to be driving up the costs in those counties based on the preliminary data since those counties still have the 2 major providers plus any of the minor competitors. It’s times like this everybody should be glad for one of the most under-appreciated benefits of the ACA: the smaller healthcare providers have been pretty successful so far at competing with the big guys, keeping prices low.

All the patient rights and protections have been amazing too. Actual service delivery has been better. More people using primary care doctors for their problems than the ER. More people are doing preventative health care. Social determinants of health are being recognized. There is more mental health parity.

Lots is great things that can't be measured in terms of how much richer rich guys get profiteering from health care.
