Hi, i dont know if you heard about this article:
http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2016/03/11/nearly-2000-water-systems-fail-lead-tests/81220466/so to know how exposed you can be:
- old water system, or not*
- the hardest the water is it, the lesser will be the lead concentration
*According to experts, at least 7.3 million homes are connected to the water system by lead pipes. Most of these systems were built before 1930, but some later buildings also contain lead. So there is a double penalty for the most ancient cities: the houses there are likely to have lead pipes, and joint networks too.
note the "reduced IQ" for children, it's a well know problem
[lead piping systems upgrade, a task estimated by the EPA in 2003 to cost $276.8 billion and take more than 20 years achieve]
thanks, and good luck.
