Just started GW2 and bought thorns expansion. Having a lot of fun with the game so far, I'm level 25. I have some starter questions:

1) I got a "zoom to level 80" thing, should i use it or wait? Feel like I should wait and actually learn game, maybe save this for another character later?
2) What is the best or most efficient way to level?
3) I think longbow is my main weapon of choice, but what do I choose for an offhand? I'm most interested in PVE, I hear short bows are for PVP.
4) What are some good ways to make gold?
5) Are there any good and up to date guides out there? Learning curve feels a little more steep, feels like I am reading Greek when I try to learn online (too many acronyms!)
6) What is the best way to travel? Are there any mounts? I see the portals.
7) Do different characters you make share a central inventory like in Diablo 3?

Thanks all, really appreciate any help!

you should wait with 80 thing.

crafting prolly fsatest, but just play the game for exp.
what classa re you playing?

dungeons, fotm, open world, trading post.
guides for what?
no mounts, only portals - gap closer + swiftness + rush attacks prolly fastest to get around map.
no, you dont share inventories unless you buy some shared inventory slots.

Playing a ranger. What is fotm? General learning guides; should I just network with people to learn the game or is there like a PDF game guide like Wow has?

Are gap closer + swiftness + rush attacks skills I can choose later? Also, can I change my talent sklls later? And are there enough skill points you can get in the game to max out all the skill trees?

Where can I buy shared inventory?

fractal of the mists

its like mini dungeons with a type of debuff and gear you need to get.
you should pretty much play the game for yourself, if you watn to go hardcore pve.. then you pretty much learn everything in dungeons, fotm, raids.

IF you dont have time, i would suggest focusing on raids.

ranger has mange different builsd for pve, FULL healing bot, condi ranger, zerk ranger.

gapcloser are just depending on your weapon skills, utility skills, traits, etc.

yes, you can change your trait anytime you want, and you get skill points to max out skill trees by getting lvl 80.

shared inventory from trading post, only 10 you can buy though.

Isn't the game over 10 years old? Why are they so slow to release new content?
