The protesters who never got a chance to say anything because they were talked over by an old white man until they were taken away? Yeah, they didn't get a lot of info out there, for some weird reason.
Bernie needed to show, in that moment, that he was willing to listen. He needed to prove that his 'man of the people' act wasn't just a bullshit stunt, and that people in prominent groups that matter to a lot of people in the black community can have a voice while he has a voice. He had a chance to hand the floor over to them long enough to engage with them, and instead he acted like a grandfather with an occupied lawn.
I'm not saying that it means that the protestors were in the right or that it's a particularly good idea in any other circumstances. I'm saying that Bernie needed to make a big, positive splash with minority communities early on in the race, and that was his chance to get it done. He chose not to do it, and the demographics make it pretty clear that that's what lost him the race.
The 'old white man' was trying to reason with them. He offered them a chance to speak after Sanders. He was gonna let them use the podium and everything.
They didn't get anything out there because they're incapable of being reasonable. I doubt they had anything worth hearing anyhow. Those two didn't seem like the brightest tools in the shed by a long shot.
