i've been having success all summer long using fake bait, bright orange plastic worms around 7-9 pm when walleye go to semi shallow waters to feed for an hour or 2. I find the bright orange attracts them extremely well and i'm pulling them in non stop for a good straight hour. Also been using crank bait, all depends on what im fishing. Caught a bunch of pike and muskey this year on silver and green spinner, which is working because we have a lot of perch in the water, so i guess they feed off of the perch a lot, so they go crazy for the green silver spinner. You kinda gotta pick colours that match the diet of the fish you're tryign to catch. Walleye love bright orange though, give it a try.

What type of rod and reel? I like to cast from the shore and move around.

Big fan of Rat-L-Trap. Pretty much 90% what I use, just change colors on conditions.

Use a white BIG O with orange eyes, also a worm harness is very effective, a 3 hook worm harness. Keeps the scrubs from taking ur worm so fast, and it gives a little flash.
