This truly is one challenging first journey to The Countess

Her guards throw everything they have at Doctore

...but none of them were able to take down our hero

before reaching the final level of The Tower

Doctore rushed in to take down the Countess

...maybe a little too eager

this is a cool run. it's the type i'd imagine i'd want to do, or at least without ladder runewords. never done a frenzy barb. are they tanky enough for PVM? i always figured shields were a must towards the end..

Paige, his merc died quickly leaving him surrounded.

Doctore decided to pull back to the entrance way

to funnel the minions one by one

Once they were taken care of he returned

to finnish the job..

As he is not using Runewords,

The only use runes will have is to give their single socket bonuses

Yeah I like the idea and challenge of no Runewords, I feel they make some things a bit too easy in some cases

I haven't played barb before so I will be learning as I go.

The rune isn't useful..

but that gem might be

...and that jewel, wow 9 max is that perfect for lvl 9?

Decided to make use of this jewel right away

a nice start, lets see what else drops for the other sockets

Going to try and get some Ith runes from the countess

so that Paige can start doing some insane damage

Nice, first Ith rune

...Unfortuantely after socketing it in to the bow

Realised it's lvl 15 req and Paige is only 13

So will have to wait a while until she will be able to own with it

As my gold was starting to pile up a bit

and Doctore was still taking quite a bit of damage

I decided to take a risk...

Nice, it paid off :)
