Yeah that wall is the hardest thing about ymir. If you can get that down, ymir is the best sup in the game imo.
I've mastered 40 gods since alpha released and my favorite gods are Neith and Chaac.
Chaac seems OP once you get use to him. He can do tons of damage with good sustain. Or if you go the full sustain route, he can be one of the best sups in the game.
Neith is my favrotie hunter mainly because of that ult. You can get those assholes running away and you can help people fight/run away from across the map.
Favorite mages are Hades(Hish sustain and good damage) Zeus (High damage and his O button is very useful) Kukulkan (his DOT is ridiculous) and Ra(Good damage and can heal). And Chang'e but I use her more for sup than mage.
Favorite Sups are Ymir (freeze) Ares (chains) and Cabrakan (can basically assassinate squishies)
Favorite assassins are Loki Thanatos and Bastet.
You want to learn how to play at least a couple of each gods so your team doesn't suck. I always wait for everyone to pick their people and pick whichever role is needed at that time.
