I have no idea whether it still works or not but several patches ago I did a hardcore walkthrough with a blade sentinel+blade shield sin that used iceblink for the freeze target

If freeze target still works with blade shield then I'd recommend trying it. Best drop for the build was a tiamat's shield. All that extra ele damage
