Nope, not needed!

The fee is monthly, it has to be paid if you decide to use the vault, you can store your items there.

25 Item slots rental for one month = 50 fg

This vault is good if you play in groups so you dont have to switch characters to swap your gear.

But its not a must to pay the fg, you can also play without paying it, just transfer the gear manually from one char to one char

well he countine to say that no one would like to play with me if i have no gear ?
its not possible that i farm my gear ?

for no mistakes here, this game is costs free. You can play when want. ONLY the vault costs, but for strart you dont need this! Take your time to learn how game works first and if you like it or not. Find a Mentor ingame that helps you with all your questions. The already links here postet can helps you too for start. have fun

i have register here that i got told that the game could be funny and i would love to try it out over the week-end
but seems like i cant get start :(

farming gear is practically not really possible at this state of the game. the drop rate is pretty low so that you can only find items if you are really lucky.
it is highly recommended that you start playing with using some forum gold to buy some gear. playing ladder slasher with no gear is like trying to farm at baal with a naked char at diablo2.. simply not working.

a few hundred fg can help to get low gear
medium gear is at the range of several thousand fg while high end gear is worth a lot more.
